Ruwanga produces & co-writes the title track for Fast Five (Busta Rhymes & Don Omar – How We Roll)
Ru & The Bird Call team are proud to be a part of the record breaking summer blockbuster, Fast Five. Ru produced and co-wrote the main title track for the movie “How We Roll” with Busta Rhymes featuring Don Omar. “How We Roll” was featured in the trailer and TV spots leading up to the blockbuster opening weekend. The song was also featured on YouTube’s homepage on April 26th.
Fast Five broke three major records as it opened with $83.6 million. First, it scored 2011′s largest opening. Second, it topped The Lost World: Jurassic Park, which debuted to $72.1 million in 1997, to become Universal’s best opening ever. And third, the flick posted the largest April opening of all time, speeding past its 2009 predecessor Fast and Furious ($71 million). More info

“CameraBuggin” is a mash up of Matt and Kim’s song “Cameras” and the Big Boi track “Shutterbug”. Ruwanga Samath was the mastermind behind this track, which will make an appearance in The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, the forthcoming documentary from Supersize Me’s Morgan Spurlock. The film is a documentary about the use of product placement and advertising, and cleverly, the film itself is also completely funded by product placement and advertising. Big Boi himself will be a part of the documentary, which will be out on April 22nd. 
Ozzy and Ru produced & wrote the theme song “OutBack” for History Channel’s Mounted in Alaska which airs on Thursdays 10/9c. HISTORY’s new series opened on Thursday, April 7 , with strong ratings and set a new record, as HISTORY’s best-ever original series launch, which drew 2.3 million viewers on it’s opening night.
