Ru and Ozzy produced and co-wrote the end title song for the documentary Gideon’s Army debuted at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. The song features Mind The Gap and Los Angeles rapper Bizoh. The documentary will premier on HBO in March

“Maxwell D – Soldier” Featured in TED

We are excited to announce that Maxwell D’s newest single “Soldier” is featured on the box office hit TED. TED (starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis & Seth MacFarlane) took the top box office spot on it’s opening weekend. The song can be heard in the house party scene where TED just ran into his idol, Flash Gordan. Soldier was produced by Ruwanga Samath and it was written by Maxwell D, Ruwanga Samath & Ozzy Doniz. “Soldier” can also be heard on Choice FM in Maxwell D’s hometown London.

Ted earned an impressive $54.1 million out of 3,239 theaters during its debut weekend — the third-best debut ever for an R rated comedy behind the openings of “The Hangover Part II” ($85.9 million) and “Sex and the City” ($57 million) — and the best debut ever for an original comedic storyline.

MTG-June residency at Hotel Cafe

After destroying the stage at the official Hotel Cafe showcase at this year’s SXSW Mind The Gap was asked to kill the stage every Saturday in June at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles and as promised they brought the house down!! Once again they managed to bring the energy and turn the venue into a dance party! Do not miss any of their upcoming shows if you want in all the fun, sex and rock and roll.

The boys from Mind The Gap we’re able to bring their electro/pop infused music to the beautiful land of Austin Texas earlier this year. With loud bouncy punchy and almost hip hop loops raging from Ruwanga’s loop station/keyboard, rumbling bass and guitars from Ozzy and Alex and the amazing voice of singer Greg Cahn the band definitely stood out from everyone else. This was the official showcase that Hotel Cafe put together for this year’s SXSW. With the Hotel Cafe being well known for their acoustic almost singer/songwriter style, the crowd was completely caught by surprise and once MTG started their set it was a dance party!!

Mind The Gap and The BirdCall Productions are proud to announce the official release of “The Good Fight”, the bands debut album, produced by Ruwanga Samath and Ozzy Doniz. This album showcases the diversity of sound that four individuals from different backgrounds/cultures can create when they get together. Although all the songs are written by Alex Yang and Greg Cahn the final product is the result of months of collaborations between the four members of Mind The Gap. They will be performing every Monday of October at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles and also at the CMJ music marathon & film festival.
